The Teaching Center is a classroom building that will be analyzed during this senior thesis. The main depth of this report was to look at the mechanical systems and find ways to make them more energy and cost efficient. The Teaching Center is a large 180,000 square foot building, so the two proposed mechanical depths will affect only portions of the building. A VRF system and Variable Lab exhaust system will decrease the mechanical system energy cost. An analysis on how to reduce water consumption is performed. And ensuring the reverberation time in the lecture hall has been perfromed.
